Working Hard or Hardly Working?
Sadly, today is the final day of my Cowboys training camp experience, as Bob, Dan, Norm and myself head back to Dallas this afternoon.
Some thoughts about my stay:
Great weather: Now I know exactly why Jerry brings the team to Oxnard. Every day is just like the next: cloudy in the morning, sunny in the afternoon with highs in the mid-70s.
Rooming with Norm: I was a little worried when Friedo told me that I would be sharing a room with Norm, but I survived the week. Not nearly as bad as I thought.
Hanging with BaD Radio. What you hear on the air from Bob and Dan is much like the off-air experience with them. They are a couple of good strong dudes.
All in all a great time that I got paid for...what a combo!

Party Time In California...
I am starting out my first week of covering Dallas Cowboys Training Camp out in Oxnard, California. The weather is awesome out here: highs in the mid-70s. Quite a nice change from the oven that Dallas is right now.
I was honored by having Bob Sturm and Dan McDowell pick me up from LAX when I arrived on Sunday. We went straight from the airport to the par-3 nine-hole course that was shown in the movie 'Swingers.' I've only played golf a couple of times in my life, but didn't do too bad. Then it was off to Hollywood Blvd where B&D got some wacky audio with the more colorful characters walking around. Listen for 'Cinnamon Stick' this week...this guy was radio gold.
