Game On Finally!
(full story)

After 11-months of looking like a bunch of idiots, the National Hockey League and its players union have agreed to a new collective bargaining agreement, meaning that pucks will drop once again this fall at the AAC.

Not all the details are out on this new deal, but you can expect a lot of dramatic changes, especially to your Dallas Stars. Management has been hinting all along that a lot of familiar faces probably will not be back (Modano?). This week in Frisco, the team is holding a development camp for 35 of their top prospects and recent draft picks...don't be surprised if a sizable number of those players find themselves in Stars' uniforms in 05-06.

As for the NHL and players union, their next moves should be to immediately fire Commissioner Gary Bettman and NHLPA Executive Director Bob Goodenow. These two have shown little, if any, leadership during this entire fiasco. At certain points of the negotiations, Bettman and Goodenow were left out of the process: that should tell you all you need to know.

Whatever the case, I'm just glad this ordeal is finally over. Millionaires fighting millionaires over money gives me a headache...
